GRANT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NOWY TEATR BUILDING
We are delighted to inform you about the grant awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the construction of the Nowy Teatr International Centre of Culture. The construction will be financed from the funds provided by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2009-2014 as part of the program called: Conservation and revitalization of national heritage. It is a breakthrough moment in the history of Nowy Teatr.
The awarded amount accounts for 85% of total project cost. The remaining funds come from the budget of the capital city of Warsaw.
Construction work will start in June 2014, comprising adaptation of historic workshop hall of 1927, new land development and revamping of administrative building. It is scheduled to take one year. Eventually, in the summer of 2015, we will invite you to the opening ceremony of the Nowy Teatr International Centre of Culture!
Construction of the Nowy Teatr International Centre of Culture uses financing in the amount of PLN 19,115,511, coming from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, as part of the EEA funds and Norway grants, as well as from state budget.
